About me

Yong Joo Kim: Yong Joo Kim, 김용주, a native of Seoul, Korea, received her Master of Fine Arts in Jewelry and Metalsmithing from the Rhode Island School of Design. She was a finalist for the 2009 LYDON Emerging Artist Award (LEAP). In 2010, she received the Professional Arts Development Grants from the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, and her work was selected as part of the museum of Arts and Design’s (MAD) permanent collection. Her work has been internationally exhibited at museums and galleries in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Seattle, Sydney, Firenze and Seoul, among other cities internationally. She lives and works in Providence, Rhode Island.
