La Sagrada Família in Barcelona

Continued from :

Antoni Gaudí's master piece: La Sagrada Família.
It has been in construction over 130 years since construction started in 1882!!! The interior completed in 2010 and the estimated entire completion dates range from 2017 to 2026, the 100th anniversary of Gaudi's death.

Definitely, I would love to go back when it completes the entire construction.

Casa Batlló in Barcelona

Since I was in Barcelona, Spain, I wanted to visit several Guadi's work. I was very glad to get to see them in person. He is amazing, amazing and amazing. Here are photos from Casa Batlló!!

Gaudí enlarged the light well and covered the walls entirely in relief glazed tiles in varying shades of blue, which are darker in colour at the top and lighter towards the bottom, thus achieving an even distribution of the light. - (From )

Lovely embossed patterns on stained-glass windows.

Velcro Brand headquarter in Spain

On March 25, 2013, Yes!! I visited the Velcro Brand headquarter in Spain. : ) It was awesome to learn more about the material!

Take a look at the red lampshades!! It's made of Velcro Brand products designed by Luis Eslava and Lorena Sauras. The designers used a spherical mould to build the red globe-like lampshades, which hang in the hallway. It was awesome to see the redesigned European headquarters of Velcro in Barcelona! This lampshades remind me of my brooch piece made in 2008. : )

I had a lovely Lunch with Judith and Esther! Thank you so much for organizing my visit!

This photo was taken in Mataró, Spain after our lunch. It was wonderful to have a warm and nice weather at the end of my trip.

American Craft Magazine

Last November, I had a short answer for the "Zoom" section of the American Craft Magazine. Now my image and answer are featured in the February/March 2013 issue of American Craft. It's always a nice surprise to find my image in a magazine.

Contemporary Jewelry : Limited edition by Monsa Publications

Last November, I received the copy of the Contemporary Jewelry : Limited edition by Instituto Monsa de Ediciones, Spain.

It's wonderful to be part of a book with so many good jewelers!
I would like to thank the author of this book, Miquel Abellán: Thank you so much for the invitation and sending me the copy of the book!

About the book:
Contemporary jewellery, a magic discipline which speaks to our feelings, opens our eyes to countless sensations, explosive, sensual, eclectic limited edition pieces with soul, creating special moments. Jewellery is a work of art, a metaphor of the attire caressing our skin. It speaks without uttering a word, appears before us and stirs our emotions.

Traveling in March : Munich, Prague, Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona!

Hi Everyone,

I am so sorry for neglecting my blog for the last month. I have been working very hard on my Kickstarter project, Sublime Experiment. I have finished the project, and I am getting ready for the official launch.

Anyway, I have an exciting plan to share with you all.

Traveling in March : Munich, Prague, Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona!

My pieces were selected for Talente exhibition in Munich during Schmuck (March 6-12) this year. So I decided to visit the exhibition and travel other cities. I just finished booking my flights and hotels so it's official now! : ) This time will be my first time to travel Europe so I am both excited and nervous. If you live in those cities, please let me know! It would be awesome to meet some friends!

Within the next couple weeks, I will make more posts regarding the exhibition and my travel.

In the meantime, stay warm everybody!

Much love,
